About Speaker

I am an experienced professional with a strong focus on open-source technologies, currently serving as an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM. My primary work involves driving innovation in test automation within the open-source OpenBMC project, where I help shape the future of testing practices. With over 12 years of experience in automation, I began my open-source journey by building test automation frameworks from the ground up using Python. Later, I transitioned into the OpenBMC project, a collaborative open-source project to develop an open-source implementation of the BMC firmware stack. The founding organizations of the OpenBMC project are Microsoft, Intel, IBM, Google, and Facebook. In this project, I played a pivotal role on the test automation side using multiple open-source tools, including Robot Framework, Python, Selenium, Jenkins, and Docker. I recently also won 3rd prize in the Watsonx challenge at IBM’s System Assurance Org level during a 7-day AI hackathon. As the third-highest contributor (second-highest active) to the OpenBMC Test Automation project, I would like to be a speaker at the Open Source India event on October 23-24 to share insights, experiences, best practices and to inspire others to embrace the power of open source in their own work.
