This session will cover the story of CNCF and its influence to open source and cloud technologies today. Along with that, it will provide a usecase of building edge computing with some of the projects from CNCF. Krishna Kumar is a CNCF Ambassador in India. He is involved with cloud native open source community in various capacities including creator of the Bangalore CNCF meetup group. He is also an execom IEEE member Bangalore section and also Secretary CCICI (Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India). As a Technology Leader, he is holding the position of Chief Architect Cloud Huawei India and currently leading a team developing platforms/solutions for Huawei Cloud with OpenStack, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, etc.
Sanil is a Chief Architect driving the cloud research projects in Huawei India, focusing on technologies like BlockChain, Edge Computing, Distributed Computing etc. He holds multiple patents in OS optimization areas, presented in various international conferences, and has been contributing to IEEE Roof Computing. He represented Huawei in Linux Foundation Yocto Project Advisory Board, headed overseas software architecture team (UK, France, India) to build Huawei Linux-ARM64 server ecosystem. Apart from technology, he is a creative blogger, author, and an enthusiastic philanthropist.
