MariaDB builds upon the same values on which MySQL was created – Stability, Performance, and Ease of Use – and updates them for the database needs of the 2020s.This means vector search for Generative AI, compatibility with Oracle Database for migration off closed source solutions, catalogs for efficient resource management, positioning it as the logical upgrade from MySQL.
