About the Speaker:
Arun M is a free software activist and one of the founding members of Free Software Foundation of India, third chapter of the International Free Software Foundation. He has been working with Governments to improve the adoption of Free Software within public institutions. He was instrumental in migration of schools in Kerala to free software. And many other initiatives based on free software in the state of Kerala. He worked as Executive Director of Society for Promotion of Alternate Computing and Employment(SPACE) an organisation working on adoption of free software for social development. He was a board member of Software Freedom Law Center in India. He holds a graduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering(University of Kerala) and post graduate degree in Applied Economics (Jawaharlal Nehru University). Currently working as Program Head (Research and Academics), International Center of Free and Open Source Software.
