About Speaker
Chandrasekhar P is an Architect at DellEMC and is responsible for architecture and design of Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) firmware. He has a master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. His IT industry experience is about 20 years and spans two broad management domains such as Telecom Equipment and x86 Servers. He actively participates in Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) and is a contributed to definition of the Redfish standard. He's also passionate about innovation and holds 13 granted patents till date.
About Talk
The growing scale of modern and traditional data centers is redefining the requirements of IT administrators. New approaches to systems management are needed to keep up with the growing and changing market dynamics. Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) has defined and published the Redfish standard to meet these changing usage models. This industry standard comprises of a specification and schema designed to meet the needs of IT administrators for simple, modern, and secure management of scalable platform hardware. This talk offers insights into Redfish standard that are useful to address changing needs of both IT Administrators including managing heterogenous IT systems. This standard is available on DellEMC’s PowerEdge Servers and includes a wide variety of systems management features. This talk also introduces various open source tools that can be used to manage DellEMC servers.
